This collection contains one handwritten volume documenting this genealogy of the Cleburne family from 1184 to 1891. There are time lines, family trees of the Virginia, Louisiana, Moate and Ballicullatan branches, drawings of family crests and coats of arms, a Cleburne poem and extensive notes on family members with source citations. There are some sentences in Latin, Old English and Old German, but these are infrequent and translated where they appear. The volume includes several variations on the name including: Cleburn, Cleburne, deCelburn, Clibburn, Clyburne, Cliburn, Clayborne, Clyburn, Clibborn, Claiburne, Claborne, Cliburne, Cliborn, and Claiborne. The volume includes mention of Major General Patrick Ronayne Cleburne, a Confederate Army division commander who fought at the Battle of Ringgold Gap in Catoosa County, Georgia during the Civil War.
